On June 14, 2018, we had the pleasure of hosting again in the building of the Natural Museum of Slowinski National Park, members of the Steering Committee, who have arrived on the fourth meeting. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Slowinski National Park, as well as MELBUD S.C. company - contractors of technical documentation for the action "Improvement of habitats for wetland birds" under which the meliorative system in Gardno Polder IX and X will be modernized.

The meeting began with welcoming the gathered people, as well as discussing changes in the composition of the Members of Steering Committee by the Director of the Slowinski National Park, Mr. Marek Sobocki. The next part of the meeting was led by the Committee Chairman, prof. Tomasz Heese. The main subject of the meeting was the state of progress of the contract executed by MELBUD S.C. The representative of the contractor discussed the work that has been done so far, and presented to the assembled members of the Steering Committee the assumptions contained in their "Concept of modernization of the meliorative system in the Gardno Polder IX and X". This document was also the subject of nearly two-hour discussion during which problematic issues were solved, and many suggestions and valuable remarks were made to be considered by the Contractor. Presentation by Mr. Piotr Szefler can be downloaded below.

Later in the meeting, after a short break, mainly the issues related to the state of implementation of the project LIFE13 NAT/PL/000018 entitled “Conservation of selected habitats and species in Ostoja Słowińska PLH220023 and Pobrzeże Słowińskie PLB220003 Stage I" were discussed. The most problematic issues related to the implementation of natural activities in the project were presented. Their causes and ways of solving them, which have already been implemented to a large extend, were also discussed.

During the meeting, the members of the Steering Committee provided a number of valuable advice and guidance on the implementation of the project, as well as declared close cooperation and assistance in solving problematic issues.
