On 28 November the Administrative Building of the Słowiński National Park in Smołdzin housed the 5th Meeting of the Steering Committee related to the implementation of the Project called “Ochrona wybranych siedlisk i gatunków priorytetowych Ostoi Słowińskiej PLH220023 i Pobrzeża Słowińskiego PLB220003 Etap I” (Protection of Selected Habitats and Priority Species of Ostoja Słowinska PLH 220023 and Pobrzeże Słowińskie PLB220003 Stage I).

The Meeting was attended by Members of the Steering Committee, employees of the Słowiński Park Narodowy and a representative of the contractor carrying out the “Ensuring the passability of the wildlife corridor on the Łupawa River by constructing a fish ladder” measure. The Meeting was held to present the results of wildlife monitoring and the progress of the Project, including the changes it underwent. Also, an on-site inspection was held on the fish ladder construction site, as well as a constructive discussion to guide the whole project in the right direction.

After the opening part, the Meeting proceeded to the substantive part, which started with the presentation of the results of hydrological and ichthyofauna monitoring. This was followed by a presentation on ornithological and floristic monitoring conducted on the Project area. Another highlight of the Meeting was the on-site inspection to reveal the progress of fish ladder construction on the Łupawa River. After the visit a presentation was given on the progress of the Project, including a discussion of the changes it had underwent so far.

Once again the Meeting of the Steering Committee afforded a broader picture of the Project. By providing advice and guidance during the Meeting, Members of the Steering Committee had proven to be of immense support in the process of Project implementation.
