On June 16, 2015, at the Museum of Nature of the Słowiński National Park in Smołdzino, the 1st Meeting of the Steering Committee was held, which has been appointed in connection with the implementation of the project “Conservation of selected habitats and species in Ostoja Słowińska PLH220023 and Pobrzeże Słowińskie PLB220003 Stage I”.

The meeting was attended both by members of the Steering Committee and the staff of Słowiński National Park. The Steering Committee is a consultative and advisory body for the Project Team, and its main task is also to ensure good communication and consultation concerning the project with the units, which are represented by its members. The following spoke also: Mr. Ireneusz Izydorek, who described extensively the measure “Improvement of the habitat condition of wetland birds”. The meeting was ended with Mr. Łukasz Czajkowski’s review of the measures: “Renaturisation of the bottom of Łupawa Valley; of the lowland and submontane river with the communities of water-crawfoots (3260-1), of the oxbow lakes (3150-2) and ash-alder riparian forests (*91E0)”, and “Restoration of the wildlife corridor by construction of a fish pass” with the field visit in the area of their implementation.

During the meeting, the members of the Steering Committee gave a series of tips and valuable advice regarding various aspects of the project implementation.
