The Słowiński National Park as part of the LIFENaturaSlowinskaPL project started cooperation with the Group of Świętokrzyski and Nida Landscape Parks, which is also implementing the project under the LIFE Financial Instrument. We are talking about "The Conservation of Valuable Habitats in Ponidzie", which includes, among others, conservation of semi-natural ecosystems of natural habitats of xerothermic grasslands, thermophilous oak forests and disappearing in our country populations of plants associated with these ecosystems: Serratula lycopifolia, Acanthus-leaved Carline-Thistle, European feather grass, Linum hirsutum, Steppe cherry and Dictamnus albus.

At the same time, the Group of Świętokrzyski and Nida Landscape Parks has applied this year for funding for the next LIFE project, which main objective will be to reconstruct the inland delta of Nida River and restore the natural resources of the river valley. This operation is in many respects similar to the ongoing project in the Słowiński National Park, consisting in the renaturalisation of the bottom of the Łupawa River valley as part of the LIFENaturaSlowinskaPL.

The cooperation is based on mutual, free support in the implementation of the aforementioned projects. In particular, it focuses on the exchange of experiences gathered during the implementation of the projects in the field of nature conservation. Another, but important, goal of cooperation is the dissemination of information on the conservation of Natura 2000 sites under the LIFE Financial Instrument. As part of the undertaken cooperation, substanstive consultations are carried out. It is also planned to organize meetings of teams implementing LIFE projects at Partners' premises.

More information about the project "The Conservation of Valuable Habitats in Ponidzie" can be found on the Partner's website, to visit which we encourage all supporters of nature conservation.
